- As a member of True Believers platform, you are given the opportunity to create a profile which may include personal information, such as your gender, age, occupation, place of work, and technical or other skills, plus other content. If you provide personal information in such a profile, it may be accessed and viewed by other members of the True Believers platform.
- By contacting us through our platform, or by emailing us at one of our email addresses listed on the Site, like our contact page
- Information True Believers Collects Automatically
When you use our services we automatically collect the following information from you:
- your IP address
- your approximate geographic location
- the device or operating system you are using such as your hardware model, and mobile network information
- HOW TRUE BELIVERS USES YOUR INFORMATION:
True Believers will use the information it collects, including your Personal Information:
- to tailor your experience on the True Believers platform;
- to determine which products and services we offer may be of interest to you;
- to provide you with information about Promotions or other offerings that may be of interest to you;
- to provide you with support and answer questions or other requests; and
- for other purposes disclosed to you at the time you provide the Personal Information.
We may also use the information we collect to improve the True Believers platform and our products and services, for internal business purposes, and to contact you with regard to your use of the True Believers platform and, in our discretion, changes to any of our policies.
In addition to the foregoing:
- True Believers may process your personal information in order to create your account, give you access to that account, and enable you to use the True Believers services, in addition to such uses as described in the Terms of Use.
- We also use your name and email address to notify you of announcements, messages, or other information, such as contests, special offers, or opportunities to register for events or newsletters.
- True Believers may use targeted advertising based on your activities in navigating and using the social media site, for the purposes of improving our platform and understanding what members are interested in; only anonymous, non-personal information will be shared with third parties.
- Members of True Believers will be notified through a notice on our webpage and app of changes to this policy.
- We may disclose your Personal Information if required to do so by process of law, or if necessary in order to investigate fraud, a violation of our Terms of Use or in connection with any harm being caused to a third party or their rights
III. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE:
We may not share or disclose your personal or non-personal information except under the following circumstances:
- We may share or disclose your information at your direction, such as when you authorize a third-party web client or application to access your True Believers account. Thus, when you consent to have your personal information shared or otherwise request that we share your information. We may offer you the opportunity to consent to the sharing of your information with third parties. Such reasons include, without limitation, so that you are able to receive information and/or marketing offers from third parties. Additionally, you may request, sometimes through your use of an interactive feature or third- party application, that we share Personal Information about you with a third party, and we will typically do so in those circumstances. If you agree or request to have your Personal Information shared (either by opting in, choosing not to opt-out or using a specific feature of the True Believers platform), your Personal Information will be disclosed to the applicable third party(s) and the Personal Information you disclose will be subject to the privacy policy and business practices of such third party(s); therefore, please consult the respective privacy policies of each third party. If you consent or request to receive communications from third parties, you will need to communicate with them directly if you later decide that you no longer wish to receive their communications.
- We engage service providers to perform functions and provide services to us in Ghana and abroad. We may share your private personal information with such service providers subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy, and on the condition that the third parties use your private personal data only on our behalf and pursuant to our instructions. We share your Payment Information with payment services providers to process payments; prevent, detect and investigate fraud or other prohibited activities; facilitate dispute resolution such as chargebacks or refunds; and for other purposes associated with the acceptance of credit or debit cards. We may share your credit or debit card number with payment services providers, or third parties authorized by them, to monitor card transactions at participating merchants and track redemption activity for the purposes of providing card-linked services.
- Legal Protection and Law Enforcement
- We may transfer and disclose information, including your Personal Information, Usage Information and Device Identifier (including IP address), to third parties:
- to comply with legal obligations;
- when we believe in good faith that the law requires it;
- at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation;
- to verify or enforce our Terms of Use or other applicable policies;

- to address fraud;
- to otherwise protect the rights, property, safety or security of third parties, visitors to the True Believers platform.
- We may also use Device Identifiers to identify users, and may do so in cooperation with copyright owners, Internet service providers, wireless service providers or law enforcement agencies, in our discretion. Such disclosures may be carried out without notice to you.
- Non-Personal or Non-Private Information
- We may share non-Personal Information, such as aggregate user statistics, demographic information, and Usage Information with third parties for a variety of purposes, including tailoring promotions, advertising and communications we present to you.
- Thus, we may share or disclose your non-private, aggregated or otherwise non-personal information, such as your public user profile information, public posts, the people you follow or that follow you, or the number of users who clicked on a particular link (even if only one did), or reports to advertisers about unique users who saw or clicked on their ads after we have removed any private personal information (such as your name or contact information).
- Business Transfers and Affiliates
- In the event that True Believers is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. This Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity. We may also disclose information about you to our corporate affiliates in order to help provide, understand, and improve our Services and our affiliates’ services, including the delivery of ads.
III. SECURITY AND RETENTION:
True Believers uses commercially reasonable administrative, technical, personnel and physical measures to protect and safeguard your personal information against theft, loss and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification. We also use reasonable efforts to obtain the agreement of our Affiliates and third-party service providers to take steps to protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of your Personal Information we share with them. However, it is important to note that no electronic data transmission or storage of personal information can be guaranteed to be 100% private and secure.
In lieu of this, we advise that you be careful to avoid ‘phishing’ scams, where someone may send you an e-mail that looks like it is emanating from True Believers asking for your Personal Information since True Believers will never request your Personal Information through e-mail.
We don’t collect or retain your personal financial information (“PFI”), such as credit card data. If in the future we offer services that require you to provide your PFI, your PFI will be collected by, provided to and processed by a third party payment processor – not us – and their treatment of your PFI will be covered by their privacy policy.
In an effort to protect you and others, we monitor use of the True Believers platform, and we use the information we collect, including Personal Information:
- to verify or enforce our Terms of Use
- to identify fraudulent activities and transactions;
- to prevent abuse of and investigate and/or seek prosecution for any potential threats to or misuse of the True Believers platform;
- to ensure compliance with the applicable terms of service and this Privacy Policy;
- to investigate violations of or enforce these agreements;
- and otherwise to protect the rights and property of True Believers, its affiliates, partners and customers.
Monitoring may result in the collection, recording, and analysis of online activity or communications through the True Believers platform. If you do not consent to these conditions, you must discontinue your use of the True Believers platform.
You understand that any message or information you share on the True Believers platform may be read or intercepted by others. True Believers does not ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you use the True Believers platform and provide us with your information at your own risk.
III. CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY:
The terms of this Privacy Policy will govern the use of any information collected while it is in place. True Believers reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time, without prior notice to you, and any changes will become effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the True Believers platform after posting of any changes to this Privacy Policy will constitute acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, those changes.
